Our wedding Coordinator, Danielle Piat, has been in the wedding business for 20 plus years. She originally started “Port Douglas Weddings” in 1995. Danielle’s Mother, Judi, is one of two local ladies who raised significant funds to move and restore the church.
The church was originally a Catholic Church on the hill in Port Douglas and was to be demolished. Thanks to the “Save the Church Group” the Church is now overlooking the Pacific Ocean and available for your special day. Danielle was married in St. Mary’s in 1995 so has a special fondness for this Chapel.
St. Mary’s by the Sea is available for hire for Weddings, Vow Renewals, Memorial Services and Christenings.
Church Hire only – $550 Church hire for 1.5 hours. * Please note, this does not include a rehearsal or sound system.
